My writers block and how it helped rebrand our blog.

With reference to the influx of DMs, texts and calls I'm indeed sorry for going MIA and not posting these past weeks. However, I had a genuine reason which for a while now prevented me from doing that which I love doing most (blogging). You see guys, I was hit by the very worst type of writers block. Yes, writers block! Some might ask if that's even a thing or others might trivialize it by making it seem like a mere distraction which I should overcome by myself. Bruh, it really isn't that, neither is it an easy thing to overcome.

Writers block can be defined as the period of time whereby a writer finds himself or herself totally unable to efficiently compose or put together articles which makes up his/her body of work regardless of all efforts being put in place, it all proves futile and brings them to no avail. Writers block happens to bloggers, script writers, artistes and basically anyone whose work or craft involves the art of writing. There's a wide range or causes of writers block which include; change of environment, stress, multitasking and depression. The last two being my case but not to worry I'm a lot better now and less occupied. Asides the aforementioned causes, writers block may just happen out of the blue and all you can do is sit it out and allow it pass. I'd have loved to suggest ways to curb this issue but to be honest, its always best to just let it take its course and pass. Yes, I understand time is money and some projects are time bound or have a certain duration for submission but I ain't gonna lie here, if you don't know the actual cause of your block, thus knowing how to get rid of it just be a little patient and you'll be fine.

Like the say, every cloud has a silver lining, that's also how in some cases writers block helps transcend or transform a persons work of art. Don't skip the part where I said " some cases" because people may go on with business as usual after its occurrence. Whereas, I always like to ride with the bad till I find the good in it then take the credit for making a bad thing good :p  In the same vein, I pondered on what I could get out of my block and after a while... I still got nothing. Yeah nothing! Remember I said my writers block was badass but as they say 2 heads are better than 1 and y'all also remember I stated from the start that the blog is owned by 2 people. That's how during random outdoor chills Millie came up with the idea of posting about sports stars rather than the normal way of circling around celebrities and pop culture and to make it at tad bit more serious and relevant plus the current mindset of everyone focused on our next years general elections and the ongoing U.S election, we could add political write ups and sports analysis.

I suppose its safe to say the topic of this post should have been "How Millie helped clear my writers block after a chilled bottle of henny" cus I not only had my writers block cleared but got an entirely new and different idea for rebranding our blog. Like they say inspiration can strike anywhere and anytime. I really do hope y'all will love the new methods of posting and chosen topics. I'll pick from the various politicians and numerous sports stars, literally dissect some, critique others, and write an extensive exposé on a few. However the blog owners and domain name would remain the same. Good morning and happy Sunday !!
